About MLG
MOHAN LAL GOYAL CONVENT SCHOOL (MLG Convent School) is being started from this year April 2020 by the management of Sita Devi Educational Society, Cheema (Sangrur -Punjab), who dedicate their lives for the upliftment and the wholesome formation of our fellowmen especially women and children. The total formation of the human persona will remain always the top priority in the educational endeavors of MLGCS. The school is going to start under (the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi) pattern with two wings KINDERGARTEN & SENIOR WING to cater to the educational needs of the children of the township and the surrounding localities.
Late Shri Mohan Lal Goyal (1942 – 2016)
Late Shri Mohan Lal Goyal built district’s one of the renowned business setup. His life journey is reminiscent of the rags to riches story. He was born in 1942 at Cheema, Punjab, into a family serving humanity. His father was a well-known vaid. After doing matriculation, he started his journey by setting up a small grocery store in a village, doing all menial jobs to earn his living. Assisted by his three sons, he bought a petrol pump in partnership. Over time his business grew and he bought more dealerships, diversified his business with additional interest in setting up rice mill, pipe factory etc.
We all suffered a huge loss when Shri Mohan Lal Goyal died in 2016. He was a family man who always believed in unity between his sons and their families. His business is now taken care by his sons, who live jointly with their mother. This new initiative is yet another step towards realizing his dream.
His stories of hardship, labour and success set new benchmarks, and serve as an inspiration to everyone.
